Why We Are Raising Funds To Support Indigent Students Under Affluence Childcare Hope Foundation-Alhassan

The Chief Executive Officer of Affluence Childcare Hope Foundation,Alhaji Abbas Alhassan, has said that the foundation decided to launch N50m endowment fund to assist indigent students with scholarship awards.
Speaking at the launch of the fund raising on Friday December 27 at Iyerekhu, Etsako west, Alhassan said that the event was meant to celebrate not only the establishment of the foundation, “but also our collective commitment to transforming the lives of young minds through the power of education.”
“Since our inception more than 20 years ago, which culminated in the registration of Affluence Childcare Foundation in 2014, we have championed the cause of education, particularly for the indigents.
“Prior to the foundation’s registration, I had the privilege of awarding scholarships for nearly a decade, impacting the lives of countless students some all the way up to the PhD level.
“Since inception, over 300 students have benefited from the scholarship. Each scholarship was more than just financial assistance; it was a vote of confidence in the potential of our youth—a recognition that education can serve as a powerful catalyst for change,” he said.
He however said “we are excited to officially launch the Affluence Childcare Foundation Scholarship, with an ambitious fundraising goal of N50 million (Fifty Million Naira). This fund will directly support
students who show promise and determination but may not have the financial means to pursue their educational aspirations.”
The philanthropist stressed that the scholarship embodies his belief that education is a fundamental right, and that no bright mind should ever be hindered by economic barriers.
“Growing up, I watched as my family members, childhood friends and other brilliant students of our community could not progress with their education due to financial constraints.
“When the Almighty God made it possible for me to gain education through personal struggles, I decided that no brilliant hardworking child of our community will be prevented from going to school due to financial constraints.
“The scholarship will not only provide financial support; it will also create a network of beneficiaries and encouragement for recipients. We aim to empower our future scholars to embark on their educational journeys with confidence and yet remember that they are not alone.
“To our esteemed sponsors and donors, your unwavering generosity is the cornerstone of this initiative. Thank you for believing in the vision of the Affluence Childcare Foundation, and for your commitment to uplift the next generation of leaders. Together, we have the power to change lives,” he said.
He then advised those that would benefit from the scholarship that their journey may present challenges, but that they should remember that with hard work, determination, and a thirst for knowledge, the sky is the limit.
He said; “This scholarship is a stepping stone toward your dreams, and I urge you to seize this opportunity to make a difference—not just for yourselves but for your families and communities.
“To the previous beneficiaries, I challenge you to make a difference in the lives of others through your contributions to the Foundation and to network amongst yourselves with a view to helping each other.
“In closing, let us celebrate this significant milestone and reaffirm our commitment to providing every child with the opportunity to succeed. May the Affluence Childcare Foundation Scholarship inspire hope, ignite ambition, and pave the way for countless achievers in Iyerekhu, and beyond.”
