WHAT TINUBU TOLD NEW OLUBADAN: SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT BY BABAJIDE FADOJU

Published

on

During the visit to the new Olubadan yesterday, Asiwaju Tinubu said he has accepted all the attacks and muds thrown at him by all manners of people as a price to pay for venturing into politics and seeking to be President of Nigeria.

Asiwaju said he is prepared for more dirts that will be thrown at him by his opponents and traducers.

Few newspapers and some online platforms/blogs have, as usual, deliberately twisted what he said for clickbait in their headlines, that Tinubu said he is, ‘Ready to Play Dirty.’

Thank God for people like Dr. Reuben Abati and Tundun Abiola on Arise TV, this morning, who saw through the mischief and set the record straight.

It bears restating, however, to recap what Asíwájú Tinubu said: Quoting a Yoruba proverb which literarily translates- if you don’t want to get dirty don’t wrestle with the pig- he says from the moment he entered into politics and now that he has declared his interest in the presidency, he is ready for all the dirts, mudslinging and campaigns of calumny, etc thrown at him. He says he is ready to get dirty with all that is thrown at him. But he added that no amount of attacks, mudslinging and intimidation will deter him in this presidential race.
