Waliu Taiwo Extends New Year Greetings to Ogun Residents

The Chairman of the Ogun State House of Assembly Service Commission, Hon. Waliu Taiwo, has extended warm New Year greetings to the people of Ogun State, congratulating them on making it into 2025.

Hon. Taiwo, a former Commissioner for Works in the state, called on Ogun residents to remain peaceful and supportive of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration in its efforts to foster all-round development in the state.

An aspirant for the Ogun West Senatorial District seat in the 2027 general elections under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Taiwo expressed gratitude to the people for their steadfast support of the APC over the years.

In a statement released by his media office on January 2, 2025, he described the new year as one filled with promise and progress for both Ogun State and Nigeria. He referred to 2025 as “a year of rewards” for the resilience and efforts of Nigerians.

“There is no doubt that Nigerians have paid their dues. I believe this year will bring rewards for all the sacrifices made by the people,” Taiwo said.

He emphasised that the APC-led governments at both state and federal levels remain committed to the welfare of citizens despite prevailing challenges.

“We will continue to make life better for everyone, despite the hurdles we face. Let us continue to support our governments and play our roles as responsible citizens.

“The government is fully aware of the hardships and is determined to take steps to ease the suffering,” he stated.

Hon. Taiwo urged residents to remain patriotic and optimistic, assuring them that past struggles would pave the way for better opportunities starting this year.

The veteran politician also reaffirmed his commitment to serving Ogun State, stressing that his aspiration to represent Ogun West in the Senate is driven by a desire to contribute further to the state’s development.

“My intention to run for Senate in 2027 is not for selfish purposes but to further contribute my quota to the development of our dear state,” he concluded.
