Tinubu Orders Investigation Into Abuja Explosion, Sympathises With Victims

President Bola Tinubu has directed an investigation into the tanker explosion that resulted in multiple accidents and loss of lives in Karu, Abuja.
On Wednesday, a compressed natural gas (CNG)-powered truck laden with cement exploded after it rammed into other vehicles in traffic due to a brake failure.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said six persons died and 25 others were injured in the accident.
In a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, special adviser to the president on Thursday, Tinubu condoled with family members who lost loved ones in the inferno.
The president also ordered that the injured be given priority treatment in various medical facilities in Abuja.
He has also directed security agencies, particularly those concerned with road safety, to pay closer attention to traffic around the capital city’s entry and exit points.
The president prayed for the departed souls and asked for the grace of God to comfort families that have lost their loved ones.
