Supreme Court Strikes Out Peter Obi’s Petition Against Tinubu, Says Failure To Transmit Results On IREV Did Not Affect Election
“The appellants abandoned their duty to provide substantial evidence to prove non compliance”
The Supreme Court of Nigeria sitting in Abuja has struck out the petition filed by the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, against Bola Tinubu.
The Supreme Court Justice went further to say that the failure to transmit election results electronically did not affect the presidential election.
On the argument of 25% requirement in FCT, Justice Inyang Okoro stated that the Constitution is for Everyone.
Justice Okoro went on to say that the FCT has no special status, else the framers of the Constitution would have made it very clear.
