Saraki reacts to Osinabjo’s sack of DSS DG, Daura
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has commended Acting President Yemi Osinbajo for sacking the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura.
Osinbajo, on Tuesday, fired Daura after a meeting with him and the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The two security chiefs, who arrived Aso Rock at different times, were at the presidential villa over security developments, including the blockade of the National Assembly by security operatives.
Addressing a world press conference on Tuesday, Saraki said “Mr. Acting President did the right thing.
“I thank the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, for his handling of the situation we were all confronted with yesterday.
”His decisive action went a long way towards restoring confidence.”
