Robbers attack convoy of Central Bank Bullion vans, kill two policemen
Some armed robbers this morning killed two mobile police officers during an attack on the convoy of Central Bank bullion vans along the Jos – Abuja expressway.
The bullion vans and their retinue of police officers, had just left Jos, Plateau state and were heading to Abuja when they ran into a shoot-out between the robbers who were dressed in military uniforms and members of the Plateau State security outfit, “Operation Rainbow”, attached to Riyom local government. One police officer in the Patrol team was killed while the second officer killed was attached to the CBN Bullion van convoy.
