Pan-Okun Relief Committee Embarks On Massive Fund Raising, Commences Rehabilitation Of Legacy Healthcare Projects In Okunland

The Pan-Okun People Relief Response Agenda has commenced moves aimed at improving it’s drive for more funds to kick start the commencement of Legacy Health Projects across Okunland in Kogi State.

Rising from it’s strategic Virtual Meeting Monday night, the Steering Subcommittee of the group resolved to raise more
funds within the next two weeks in order to meet the target for the commencement of the Legacy Projects.

These were contained in a press release signed by the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee of the group, Hon. Duro Meseko, which was made available to journalists.

The Committee’s Chairman, Prince Sola Akanmode was said to have urged members of the group to go all out to canvass for financial support from public-spirited individuals and groups.

“Our target is to commence work on some Legacy Health Projects across Okunland in order to improve the health and general well being of our people. Without funds, we cannot achieve that.

“That is why we have used the last few months trying to raise money for the projects. We hereby appeal for support from donors, philanthropists, and public spirited individuals to enable us to achieve the aims and objectives of the Pan-Okun Initiative,” Akanmode said.

Akanmode urged members of the Initiative to reach out to prospective donors within the next two weeks in order to boost its purse.

The Pan-Okun Relief Response Initiative was launched to promote awareness against the ravaging effects of COVID-19, create a unity of purpose for the people and mobilise huge resources to provide succor for the entire Okun land especially in the area of health development.

The group has, as its target, the sum of N500 Million Naira to enable it rehabilitate Health Facilities across Okun land among others.
