Oyo 2023: I Will Make Life Better For People Of Ibarapa East/Iddo As Reps Member-Oseni

The House of Representatives candidate for Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Remi Oseni, has promised not to ’embarrass’ the people of his Constituency if elected.

He disclosed this during the inauguration of the campaign council/official flag off of his campaign activities in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

“I am the candidate of the APC for Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency for the year 2023 general elections. Beyond merely coming together to inaugurate my campaign council, this is a platform for me to officially flag off the campaign and unveil my manifesto.

“There are glaring facts that Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency has been marginalised in the past eight years, thereby leading to no major impact in the Constituency.

“I am at a point where I can’t and will not stand by and watch any representative that is visionless, divisive, a promise breaker, non-performer who worsens the lives of the people of Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency through misrepresentation, ineptitude and lack of capacity to continue in the year 2023.

“At this point, I consider it a clarion call for me to change the narrative from the era of non-performing representatives to one of developmental, result-driven and people-oriented represention.

“I am an anointed servant of God and a preacher of the word, who through politics will bring about governance with the fear of God, huge positive results, impact and transformational leadership to the good people of Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency.

“I am on a mandate to rescue and rebuild that is why I am asking for the letter (your overwhelming votes) from you all to eradicate poverty, create wealth, confront bad representations and fight for the right of both the young and old, male and female in my Constituency.

“It is time to take back the glory of Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency! It is time for recovery! It is time for re-engineering! It is time to build enduring infrastructural legacies. It is time to stop misappropriations and outright stealing of our collective resources. It is time to stop incompetent leaders”, he said

He further stated that his intention is to change the leadership style and the narrative in governance in Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency.

“I want to ensure good representation, that is my vision for stepping out to contest, as I strongly believe that I have the capacity to sponsor bills that will influence and bring positive changes into the lives of my people. I will not fail the people of Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency. The Manda will be for them and not me. I promise to live for them, especially the poor, youths and the downtrodden.”

In his remarks, the gubernatorial candidate of the APC, Senator Teslim Folarin said the party is expecting 85% votes in Ibarapa in the 2023 general elections.

“50 schools that were delisted in the state is a serious issue. It is expected of a responsible government to take responsibility which they are not doing. The schools’ managements that are supposed to be regulating the schools are no longer in existence.

“For now, I will not say much about other issues but the lives of our children must be of great concern. Governor Seyi Makinde of the state should be prepared to give room for transformation in the state.

“That means in the next five years and beyond students from all the delisted schools will not be recognised. For instance Lagelu, with all its good records, will no longer be recognised.

“We need the prayers of Pastors and Islamic clerics for us to be rescued from the mess and slavery in the state,” he said.

Engr. Remi Oseni however, stated that his intention is to change the leadership style and the narrative in governance in Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency.

I will not fail the people of Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency. I promise to live for them, especially the poor, youths and the downtrodden,” he said.

While speaking at the event, a former chairman of Iddo Local Government and former commissioner for education in Oyo State, Professor Adeniyi Olowofela, who is the Director General of Remi Oseni Campaign Committee, assured the people of the constituency that Engr. Remi Oseni will alleviate the sufferings of his constituents because of his kind gestures which he has been doing before becoming a politician.

He disclosed that what Engr. Oseni has done for the people is more than what he stands to gain in politics, adding that has done so many things for the people and that this is the reason people called for his representation.

While speaking about the rotational arrangements between Ibarapa East and Ido Federal constituency , Professor Olowofela hinted that it is the time for Ido because Ibarapa has completed their tenure and urged the people to honour the gentleman agreement between the two regions.

He however stated that the committee will work hard to ensure victory for Engr. Oseni.
