Oyo 2023: Hakeem Alao Meets Zonal, LG Coordinators; Set To Pick APC Guber Form

A leading gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Oyo State for the 2023 general elections, Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao is set to pick the gubernatorial expression of interest and nomination forms of the party.

Alao made this disclosure at a meeting with his Zonal and Local Government Coordinators in the 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State on Monday, April 25, 2022, at his campaign headquarters in Ibadan, the state capital.

The meeting was convened to assess the readiness of his mobilizers for the forthcoming primary of the party slated for Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

The coordinators, who took turn to talk, express their readiness to mobilize for the delegates congress or direct primary of the party, urged Engineer Alao, to without any delay, pick the Gubernatorial Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms.

The politician, who doubles as the Asiwaju of Irokoland, while appreciating the presence and support given to him so far by the Coordinators, assured them of his resolve to contest the primary election and appealed to them to see other aspirants and their supporters as comrades and be reminded that they are all in the same party.

Meanwhile, the media office of the APC chieftain, has condemned the continuous vandalization of campaign bill boards of Engineer Alao within Ibadanland and other parts of the state, accusing members and supporters of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of being responsible for the act.

It stated further that members and supporters of the APC in the state are subjected to harassment, molestation and intimidation, noting that the thugs are daily descending on members of the public who associate or put on the logo of the APC.
