Osinbajo, Lawan, Olaniyan, Adelabu, Others Join Teslim Folarin To Bid Wife Farewell

Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s vice-president; Ahmed Lawan, Senate President; Aderemi Olaniyan, Oyo Deputy Governor and several others were in attendance as Teslim Folarin, three-term senator representing Oyo Central buried his wife, Angela Folarin.

The deceased, 48 and lawyer, died on January 28, 2022 in London.

From their Kobiowu GRA, Iyaganku home, Ibadan, Oyo State where the family held a lying-in-state for the late lawyer to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bodija Extension and Eternal Home, Motunde, Afijio, Folarin, his son—Faisal and other family members were all in tears.

Like last Friday when many dignitaries gathered in Ogbomoso, Oyo State for the burial of the late former governor Adebayo Akala, major gladiators who haven’t been seen together in many months came together to sympathize publicly with Folarin.

While Adebayo Adelabu, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2019 election; Sunday Dare, Minister of Youth and Sports, Senators AbdulFatai Buhari and Kola Balogun, Oyo North and South respectively, members of the Federal House of Representatives such as Akeem Adeyemi, Akin Alabi and and others joined from the Church, others such as Adeolu Akande, Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC; Zacch Adedeji, Director General of the Nigeria Sugar Development Commission; Yunus Akintunde, senatorial aspirant in Oyo central; Isiaka Kolawole and Idris Adeoye, member of the APC Elders’ Advisory Council; Musiliu Obanikoro and Segun Odebunmi, three-term reps member joined the lawmaker from his house.

Another major high point of the event was the massive attendance by APC members, especially those who are eyeing positions in the 2023 elections.

They blocked the Ojo-Iwo road expressway for close to two hours.

They had all gathered before the remains of Angela were brought to Eternal Homes, Motunde, a 30-minutes drive from Ibadan.
