Oshodi-Isolo LG Chairman, Oloyede Takes Full Academic Expenses of Best Student in his free GCE Summer Coaching Mock

Following his passion for academic excellence, desire to help indigent students and all round development of the youth, the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has adopted and taken full charge of the best performing student, Master Emmanuel Ige in the mock examination conducted to select students during his free GCE Summer Coaching class for students within the council.

Recall that the Executive Chairman after the successful conduct of the free GCE coaching classes for hundreds of students held a mock exam where 500 free GCE forms were given to well performed students.

During the presentation of the forms, Master Ige was presented before Otunba Oloyede as best performed students in each of the categories of the mocks conducted, there and then, the council boss presented him a N120,000 cash followed by an android phone.

The magnanimous council chairman felt the need to appreciate the young chap beyond the above, he announced adoption and full responsibility for this academic pursuits.

The Council Chairman commended the young lad for his exploits in his academic pursuits and assured that he will do everything humanly possible to ensure he excels in his pursuit of excellence.

The young Emmanuel Ige, who lost his soldier father in active service, praised the chairman for his philanthropic gesture and promised he will not disappoint him as he will strive to ensure he emerge victorious in the coming General Certificate Examinations (GCE) later this month.

The Council Boss who took over the payment of the school fees of Master Emmanuel Ige, posited further that he is impressed by the exceptional conduct of the boy during the qualifying examination that gave him the best student in the last examination.

In a brief interaction with Journalists on Saturday, Otunba Oloyede promised that he will continue to support the education pursuit of brilliant and indigent students in the local government, so that the best will emerge and make the council proud in the future.

According to him, “I am happy to adopt Master Emmanuel Ige, he is an exceptionally brilliant student, who during the qualifying examination for our GCE Forms, performed creditably well and in my commitment to excellence, I am adopting him.

I will support him in all his educational pursuits and ensure that he excels. I have paid his school fee today and I will continue to do it, till he passes out from the university. Either in or out of office, he is now my adopted son.

This gesture is also to lessen the financial burden on his mother, who is a widow and the need to express appreciation to his gallant soldier father, who died in the active service of protecting the territorial integrity of Nigeria.”
