Ogun APC Felicitates With Dapo Abiodun Over Victory At Primary Election

Sequel to the victory of Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State at the just concluded primary election, the state chapter of the ruling party has felicitated with him, describing the victory as well deserved based on the Governor’s brilliant performances since he assumed office in 2019.

The statement read, “we rejoice with our Governor on this well deserved victory at the just concluded APC primary, which has further demonstrated the confidence reposed in the hardworking Governor.”

“The party is using this medium to call on other contestants to accept the outcome of the exercise, which was transparent, free and fair.”

It will be recalled that the state chapter of the ruling party held its Governorship primary election on Thursday May 27, 2022 at the MKO Abiola Stadium Abeokuta, where Governor Abiodun slugged it out with some aspirants such as Biyi Otegbeye, Modele Sarafa Yussuf, Owodunni Obayomi and Remi Bakare, who were however absent at the venue of the primary.

Leader of the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the exercise, Mr. Wale Owu announced the Governor as the overall winner after the process.

In his acceptance speech at the programme, Governor Dapo Abiodun described his victory as a victory for the people.

“This is definitely a day to remember, this is a day of victory that I will savor all my life. I am excited, I am grateful and I promise not to let you down,” he said.
