Nigerians React To Purported Death Of Peter Robert Kachi Of The Labour Party Over Violence In Lagos

Nigerians have reacted to the alleged death of one Mr. Peter Robert Kachi, a supposed “Obidient,” who was said to have been killed during an election violence in Lagos State during the 2023 General Elections.

Kachi was said to have hailed from Etitiama Nkporo in Ohafia Local Government area of Abia State.

News of the death of Mr. Kachi was said to have been promoted by the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, who many believe explores all avenues to link ethnicity to the violence that were associated with the elections, especially in Lagos State.

But this was allegedly found out to be a hoax.

“It is rather unfortunate that my beloved community has become the latest victim of the Labour Party and Obidients poll of propaganda and clout chasing,” an observer was quoted to have said.

This message was reproduced on the twitter handle of one Ogbuagu.

“My attention has been brought to the recent poster making rounds on social media about one deceased Mr. Peter Robert Kachi, who is said to have been a victim of the latest vawulence that greeted the 2023 general Elections in Lagos State.

“The person whose image appears on this poster is yet to be confirmed or identified as an indigene of Etitiama Nkporo in Ohafia LGA of Abia State.

Subsequent inquiries made at home have shown that no such burial took place on 25th of March, 2023.

“The public should kindly disregard the false, scripted attempt to mislead and misinform Nigerians or stir up unnecessary unrest in my very peaceful community, Etitiama Nkporo,” said Ogbuagu, who wrote under @Tony_Ogbuagu on Twitter.

The thread that followed this is reproduced below:

The Obidient movement leaders breathe and manufacture fake news without conscience. Unfortunately, they have a herd of followers that would not border to ask questions.

How are you so sure Labour Party/Obidients are behind this? Did you even consider the fact that this might be a propaganda designed to elicit this type of response from the public? Anyone can put anything on social media

And the most annoying part of the whole thing is PO will post without verification. His media team shld be sacked if he has any. He shld allow media professionals to run his media & publicity unit

Why are they trying to play victims in everything? What are they trying to achieve? Nigeria belongs to all of us, why are they trying to set the country on fire just because they lost election?

I knew there is more to this when I saw a party Logo and then the picture of the brother of the supposed dead man. Your bro died and you put your party logo and pic in his obituary for cheap publicity. Where did these people come from, it’s so irritating.
