Mbappe, Kluivert make 2018 Golden Boy nominees’ list

A 100-man shortlist for the 2018 Golden Boy award has been released by the award’s founders, Tuttosport.

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe, is the clear front-runner for the prize, which is handed to the best U-21 player in 2017.

Mbappe, who is at the 2018 World Cup with France, won the 2017 edition.

Other notable names on the long list released on Monday are Zinedine Zidane’s son Luca, who plays for Real Madrid, as well as Ajax defender Matthijs De Ligt and new Roma signing Justin Kluivert.

The Golden Boy award has been handed out annually since 2003.
