A governorship aspirant under the  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election in Ogun State, Mr Segun Sowunmi, has urged Governor Dapo Abiodun of the state to make himself accessible to the people.

Sowunmi, who equally charged the governor to embark more on legacy programmes and projects aside paying workers’ salaries, admonished him to open his doors wide for the people.
He stated this recently, when Mr. Johnson Akinpelu, Publisher of Boseri, a Yoruba Newspaper, conferred him with the award of ‘Akogun Awon Oloselu’ in his residence in Abeokuta, the state capital.
The PDP chieftain said that the state had not seen the Governor in market places or in public space, except during special events or during the last election.
He, however, expressed the dissatisfaction of the people over their inaccessibility to the governor, noting that this does not speak well of the current administration.
He also wondered why Governor Abiodun abandoned the Government House located at Isale Igbein, Abeokuta South Local Government Area since he got to office in 2019, saying that such had not happened in the history of the state.
“The Governor should be accessible to the people of the state so that they can feel his government more and he should bring in more of legacy programmes, projects and reformations rather than dwelling on payment salaries of workers alone,” Sowunmi added.
