LATE KING OF POP’S FATHER, JOE JACKSON HOSPITALIZED AFTER HAVING STROKE
Joe Jackson, the father of the late pop icon Michael Jackson, had a stoke on Sunday while celebrating his 87th birthday in Sao Paolo, Brazil. He’s currently in intensive care.
TMZ reported that Jackson was admitted Albert Einstein Hospital after reportedly waking up Sunday feeling dizzy, with no vision.
The hospital told the AP Jackson was admitted on Sunday afternoon and was in intensive care; he’s also suffering from an irregular heartbeat.
The Jackson patriarch has reportedly suffered three previous strokes with the most recent occurring in 2012.
Hours before his hospitalization, daughter Janet Jackson posted happy birthday wishes for her father.
“Wishing my Father, @Joe5Jackson a Happy Birthday,” she tweeted. “I want to tell the world, I love and honor you.
