Late Akala’s Ogbomoso Residence Razed By Fire
The country home of a former Governor of Oyo State, the late Adebayo Alao Akala, in Ogbomoso area of the state has been razed by fire, a source close to the family revealed to journalists in Ibadan, the state capital.
The source said that the fire outbreak occured at the early hours of Monday December 18 morning between 7:30 and 8a.m.
It was uncertain what led to the fire outbreak, but the source said that it might not be unconnected with an early morning electric surge.
The source however denied knowledge of any death as speculated in some quarters, assuring that more details would be provided as events surrounding the fire outbreak unfold.
The incident happened barely 24hrs to the official presentation of Staff of Office by Governor Seyi Makinde to the new Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Olaoye.
