Kogi State Government Condemns Unnecessary Attack On Muri Ajaka At The Supreme Court
The Kogi State Government has condemned, in the strongest of terms, the unwarranted attack on Alh. Muritala Yakubu Ajaka at the Supreme Court, moments after the determination of the electoral litigations involving the Governors of Kogi, Imo and Bayelsa States.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State described the conduct of the hoodlums as barbaric, uncivilized and a grave danger to the institution of justice. He urged Nigerians from all walks of life to eschew resort to self help.
This was contained in a statement signed by Kingsley Femi Fanwo, Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, dated August 23, 2024.
“As a Government, we implore the law enforcement agencies to fish out the perpetrators and make them face the full wrath of the law to serve as a deterrent to others as well as protect the integrity and safety of our court environments across the country.
“We urge all Nigerians to support the path of constitutionalism and unity, which are the core values of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. We all must support his lofty policies and values for the progress and development of our dear nation,” the statement read.
