Kogi state Commissioner for Health questions NCDC’s claim of a third COVID-19 case in the state
The Kogi State government has questioned the NCDC’s report that a third case of COVID-19 has been recorded in the state.
Last night, the NCDC announced 348 new cases of COVID-19 with one of the cases recorded in Kogi.
However, in a Facebook post shared today, the Kogi State Commissioner for Health, Dr Saka Haruna, said that the ministry and indeed the state government is not aware of any of such case, just as it denied knowledge of the first index case and another.
“The purported New Case: We are not aware of who the patient is, where and when the Test was conducted. No Sample sent from KG” he wrote.
The NCDC is yet to reject to respond to this.
