JUST IN: Wizkid Dissociates Self From Peter Obi’s Concert, “It Is A Scam”
Pop star Ayodeji Balogun, aka Wizkid has dissociated himself from a rumoured Peter Obi’s concert in Abuja.
Graphic designs/posters claiming Wizkid will be performing at a campaign concert in Abuja have been circulating on social media especially Twitter and Instagram.
But Wizkid’s manager, Sunday Are, in a terse post via Instagram, threatened legal action against those using the singer to promote Peter Obi.
The concert tagged ‘2023 ObiDatti Showdown Music Concert’ is advertised for February, 18, at Eagle Square.
Other artistes listed as performers at the event include Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, 2Baba and Seun Kuti.
Are, while reacting to the development said: “This is to inform the general public that this event is a scam, Wizkid and his management know nothing about this event and accordingly, he will not perform at the said event as claimed,” the manager said.
“So please beware of this poster and information put out from its organizers as Wizkid and his management will not be liable for any damages.
“Appropriate legal action is currently being explored against the persons responsible for creating and disseminating this false information.”
