Just in : Supreme Court Dismisses Jandor Backed Aspirant’s Appeal For Ikorodu Federal Constituency Seat.
The Supreme Court has this morning in Abuja dismissed an appeal brought before it by Honourable Awesu ,an aspirant backed by the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP in Lagos state, Abdulazeez Adediran aka Jandor.
The decision thereby cleared the way for Mr Abdulkareem Olugbenga Shittu’s candidacy in the forth coming House of Representatives election for ikorodu federal constituency.
The Supreme Court also awarded 1M naira cost in favour of Honourable Shittu against Honourable Awesu. This brings the total sum awarded against Mr Awesu to 1.5M having previously had a cost of 500k awarded against him at the Court of appeal.
The PDP as a party was also ordered to pay Hon Shittu the sum of 5M naira as punitive cost for bringing an earlier appeal against Mr Shittu at the Court of Appeal.
