Japanese Boxing Fans Favour ‘Scorpion’ Over Their Own Fukunaga In October Duel

Boxing fans in Japan have predicted victory for Nigeria’s Ridwan ‘Scorpion’ Oyekola against their own son, Hikaru Fukunaga in an eight rounds international boxing challenge bout scheduled for Sunday October 2 in Ishikawa Multipurpose Dome, Okinawa in Japan.

This was revealed via the predictions column monitored on the official website of the organizer of the event, Mugen Idomu volume 18 boxing bouts series, where Ridwan Oyekola got 82% of the predictions ahead of Hikaru Fukunaga’s18%.

Meanwhile Fukunaga, who has nine wins and three loses in his ten years boxing career, has been talking tough ahead of his epic bout against the Nigerian, claiming to be training hard and learning new techniques to give Scorpion a good run for his money.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Core Afrique Boxing Promotions (COABOX), firm that is managing Oyekola, Olusola Ayod, popularly known as Sola Ford, has hinted tha Scorpion is in good shape and in a right frame of mind to face the fierce Japanese fighter, saying a competent trainer has been hired in Japan to work with Oyekola.

“Scorpion has recorded a resounding victory in his debut fight in this Asian country and that has boosted his confidence, and I can assure that he will record another good outing on Sunday here in Japan and do Nigeria proud again in the land of Asian,” a source said.
