A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Engineer Oyedele Hakeem Alao (Allow Alao), has described the death of the state Chairman of the party, Chief Isaac Omodewu, as a great void that would be difficult to fill.
The Otu, Oyo State-born lawyer, Omodewu, died in the late hours of Sunday in the United States of America, where he had been receiving treatment for an illness since November 2023.
Alao, in a condolence message he personally signed, said that the death of Omodewu coming at this time is a monumental loss to the party, stating that he was a great party man.
According to him, as a dedicated party man he was out to reconcile all the aggrieved members towards a united family, noting that his legacy as a committed progressive would not be forgotten in a hurry.
Alao, while enjoining members of the party in the state to uphold what he stood for as a man of integrity and good character, stated that they owe it for him to work together to reclaim the state back for the party during the 2027 general elections.
He said, “I received with rude shock the death of the dear state Chairman of our great party (APC), Chief Isaac Omodewu. His death coming at this time is nothing, but a great void that will be difficult to fill because he was a committed party man.
“My sincere condolences to his immediate family, leaders, stakeholders and every member of the party in the state.
“I pray that Almighty Allah grant his soul eternal rest.”
