A physically challenged middle aged man, Nurudeen Wasiu on Friday vowed to challenge the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde at the law court if he failed to re-contest the 2023 governorship election.

Wasiu, in a statement he personally signed in Ibadan, the state capital on Friday and made available to journalists, said that the Governor had demonstrated quality leadership in the state in his first tenure, and that as such would earn him a second term.

According to him, the people of the state are enjoying peace, prompt payment of salaries, infrastructural development, free education and many other developmental projects in the state at the moment.

According to the statement, “as a member of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State and a bonafide indegene of our dear state, I want to thank the governor for his impact in Oyo State.

“On this note, I want to put it on record that Governor Seyi Makinde must contest in 2023. I have decided to sue him and his team if he fails to contest the 2023 election.

“Governor Makinde must come back and complete the work he started. Our people are enjoying his good work and he must continue.

“Therefore, we are expecting governor Makinde to declare his intention to contest soon.”

He however, advised the Governor to work on some other members of his cabinet, who might be doing contrary to the governor’s electoral promises to the people of the state.
