Ibadan Lady put up for Sale in Lebanon, arrives Nigeria with 28 other trafficked victims

An Ibadan lady, Peace Busari that was reportedly put up for sale in Lebanon, on Saturday night arrived in Nigeria.

A 30-year-old Nigerian, Peace Busari was recently advertised for sale on Facebook by a Lebanese, Wael Jerro, but was rescued in April following the intervention of the Nigerian Mission in Beirut, Lebanon. The Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, disclosed her departure from Lebanon. She also disclosed that Temitope, another Nigerian accused of murder in Lebanon was also on the same flight.

The news of her arrival was confirmed by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Makinde on Diaspora, Hon Bolanle Sarumi Aliyu. It would be recalled that the Oyo state government had been in touch with her family over her possible return to Nigeria since she was advertised for sale in Lebanon.

According to Sarumi, Peace Busari arrives Nigeria from Lebanon with 28 other Trafficked Victims on Saturday.

She thanked the Oyo State Government, NIDCOM, Lebanese Government, Lebanese Community and the Nigerian Embassy in Lebanon for bringing them back home safely.

As at the time of filing this report, on Saturday night, all the returnees were still at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja. All the returnees are 29 in number.
