“I was drinking 40 year old whiskey while they were protesting” – Wike mocks Atiku, Ayu, Okowa, PDP
The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has mocked the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, over a protest they had against the 2023 Presidential Election Results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Recalled that the Party roundly rejected the results of the exercise which saw the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerge as the next President.
Wike, while addressing his constituents recently, mocked the party stating that it had become a ‘Labour Union’.
In his words; “What is in us is greater than what is in them. As they were protesting, i just sat down and took one 40 years whiskey.”
“I put Television and saw where they were doing marching. They have become Labour union, Student Union”.
“You have taken over the role of Student Union, ‘Aluta Continua’, Chai, Chai ”.
It would be recalled that Wike has been at loggerheads with the leadership of the Party since its presidential primaries last year.
