How Three Oyo Monarchs Were Killed In Road Accident
Three traditional rulers from Oriire Local Government area of Ogbomoso, Oyo State, were recently killed in a road accident.
First Weekly Magazine was reliably informed that the deceased monarchs died in the road accident that occurred at Arinkinkin area of Ogbomoso.
They were said to be on their way to the funeral of a relative of one of their colleagues in the zone, Oloolo of Oolo, Oba Oyebunmi Ajayi.
The dead monarchs include Olodogbo of Odogbo, Onibowula of Bowula and Alayetoro of Ayetoro.
The accident reportedly occurred when their vehicle rammed into an oncoming truck, killing them instantly.
A source at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso confirmed the incident, saying that their remains have been deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
Four people were said to be involved in the accident, and the fourth person, who sustained injury, is presently receiving treatment in the hospital.
