The Executive Secretary/CEO of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), an agency of the Federal Government under the Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Otunba Biodun Ajiboye has congratulated the people and government of Lagos State, most importantly the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Adebayo Olasoju on the successful installation of Prince Isa Abiodun Olakunle Adejuwon Faronbi-Shekoni as the new Osolo of Isolo Kingdom.

Otunba Biodun Ajiboye, who holds the traditional title of Otunba Muwagun of Oro Kingdom, in a message on Monday, described the process that led to the emergence of Prince Isa Abiodun Olakunle Adejuwon as the new Osolo as peaceful and harmonious, following his general acceptability by the people of Isolo after extensive consultations.

These were contained in a statement signed by Caleb Nor, Media Assistant to the Executive Secretary, NICO, dated March 31, 2025.

The message reads in part: “I congratulate the good people of Lagos and the Lagos State Government on the successful installation of His Royal Majesty, Oba Isa Abiodun Olakunle Adejuwon Faronbi-Shekoni Arolagbade Mobadenle Alagbeji III, as the new Osolo of the revered Isolo stool.”

“As the agency bestowed with the responsibility of overseeing culture in Nigeria, we appreciate the peaceful and harmonious manner in which the installation was conducted, without any rancor or controversy.“

“The widespread acceptability that the new Osolo garnered to ascend the throne is a testament to his possession of all the qualities deserving to pilot the affairs of the people of Isolo and Isolo Kingdom to a point of admiration”, the statement added.

Otunba Ajiboye noted that as a body, mandated to promote Nigeria’s cultural heritage, NICO recognizes the fact that where there is peaceful cultural understanding, there is bound to be peace.

While praying to Olodumare and the ancestors of Isolo to increase the new Kabiyesi in wisdom and understanding to lead the people of Isolo in peace and harmony, Otunba charged the new monarch to rally those he contested against, in order to foster peace, noting that only a peaceful coexistence can facilitate Nigeria’s development.
