Renowned preacher in the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement, Rev. Ayo Fakunle has called on religious leaders both in the Christian and Islamic religions, to preach salvation instead of preaching for monetary gains.

Rev. Fakunle stated this during the annual thanksgiving service of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ona Iyanu Parish, Ibadan, Oyo State recently.
While speaking on the theme “It Is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, o most high,” the clergy stated that Christians should be deeply rooted in the words of God by seeking first the kingdom of God before praises can have a meaning.
“It is true that praises can aid immediate response from God, but this must be with sound knowledge and understanding of the words of God,” he said.
While speaking about the current hardship in the country, Rev. Fakunle urged Nigerians to cooperate and pray for the leadership of the country, while stating that the hard times will soon be over.
He however, called on President Bola Tinubu-led government to discourage importation of goods and items and turn the country into a producing nation to stabilise the economy.
“The only way we can make our country great is to shun importation of goods and we should encourage our youths to become entrepreneurs because we have so many brilliant youths graduating from the universities every year,” he said.
While welcoming guests to the event, the Founder of Ona Iyanu Spiritual Church II, Prophetess Esther Olawumi Dosumu, tasked Christian leaders to preach salvation and inculcate proper discipline in the youths in the religious houses so that they can become agent changes of change for the country.
“The youths are the future leaders of the country and we should put them in the right direction and bring them up in the way of God to be able to change the nation,” he said
In his words, Rev. Dr. Samuel Ayodele Ajayi, urged Nigerians not to be discouraged because of the present hardship in the country or stop praising God.
He however, urged them to pray for the country and it’s leadership, saying that the hardship will soon be over.
