Ex-DG Budget Office, Bode Agusto Is Dead
The founding Managing Director of Agusto & Co., a foremost Pan African Credit Rating Agency and a leading provider of industry research, Olabode Agusto (MFR), is dead.
Agusto was also a Director General of the Budget Office of Nigeria.
A Chartered Accountant with over four decades of work experience in both the private and public sector, he hailed from one of the leading Muslim families from Lagos Island.
A leading member of foremost Metropolitan Club, Kofo Abayomi Street, Lagos, for 26 years, Agusto’s contribution to management service and Nigeria’s fiscal economy was immense.
The Patriarch of his family, Chief Imam Lawal Basil Agusto, was a renowned lawyer and a Queen’s Counsel (QC), whose contribution to Islamic growth and establishment of Muslim schools in Nigeria was unparalleled.
A statement by Adebayo Awoyeti, General Manager of Metropolitan Club, reads:
“I have been directed by the President, Mr. Fola Adeola, OFR, mni, to inform
you of the passing of Mr. Olabode Agusto, MFR, this morning.
“Mr. Agusto was an esteemed and invaluable member for 26 years. We pray for the repose of his gentle soul.
