It was a celebration of joy as Nigerians from all walks of life converged in the  ancient city of Ibadan, Oyo State on Friday February 21, 2025 to celebrate with the founder of African Jerusalem Christian Center,  His Eminence, Prophet Gideon Adebare Owoseni and his family, in acknowledgement of the goodness of God in his life as he added another year.
The event was marked with a church service laced with singing, prayers, music performances, biblical ministrations with the commissioning of altars the next day.
At the thanksgiving and dinner service held at the African Jerusalem Christian Ministry, Solution City, Oluyole Extension, Mekun, Ibadan, Oyo State, which featured songs ministration, the man of God was full of appreciation and gratitude even as he prayed that everyone at the event would age graciously in good health and prosperity.
In his speech at the dinner service, Prophet Owoseni emphasised the significance of thanksgiving and obedience to the will of God, noting that a birthday celebration is “an opportunity to take stock of one’s life.”
Prophet Owoseni was officially installed and robed as the Spiritual Father and Supreme Head of Solution, Cherubim and Seraphim Ministry; on Saturday August 13, 2016; at African Jerusalem Christian Ministry, Mekun, Ibadan.
The highest official of the  herubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, presided over the anointing and robing ceremony.
The Supreme Head (Olori), His Most Eminence Prophet (Dr) Solomon Adegboyega Alao, JP; witnessed by Ecclesiastical Council as well as the National Executive Council and all Seraphs worldwide.
God has blessed him with wife and children, although he never wanted to marry based on his conviction that marriage might bring about a setback to his spiritual fulfillment.
But following pressure from his disciples and coupled with revelations from God, he got married in 1994. When God later commanded him to re-marry, he had a struggle with the Lord again, but God prevailed.
On his part, a renowned Nollywood actor, Aare-Ago Ile-Ife, Chief Samson Eluwole (a.k.a Jinadu Ewele) described Prophet Owoseni as exceptional in many respects but that there were four things he has learnt from him.
According to him, “Four things I learnt from the man of God : First, is his personal integrity, simply telling the truth always. He simply did not tolerate lying, even seemingly white or innocuous lies! He also had a problem with excessive display of wealth.
“Second is his insistence on proper behaviour, politeness and respect for elders. Third is how he always displays humility at all times. The fourth is his service to the gospel and his prayer life.”
Prophet Owoseni hailed from Daluja Compound, Erin Ile, Oyun Local Government Area, Kwara State. He was born into the family of the late Special Apostle Jacob Olayinka Akojede Owoseni (of blessed memory).
He was born at a time when his father was away on the farm. While on the farm, a bird announced the birth of his son and when the father got home, he was greeted with the good news of a baby boy. Hence, his father named him ‘Adebare’ meaning (I met goodness at home).
Prophet Gideon Adebare Owoseni had a late beginning in his formal education owing to challenges of ill health that affected him; and even when he began schooling, the sickness persisted.
During the early days of his education, he was faced with so many tribulations, the spirits of darkness would appear to him saying fearful and terrible things.
On one occasion, he was given the grace to see and recognise one of the human agents used to torment him by the wicked ones; but, the late Prophet AjijolaOluwa Adedokun didn’t want him to name the fellow to anyone.
Nevertheless, he also enjoyed the visitation of heavenly hosts. At times, while discussing with them, his mother would enter into his room to enquire whom he was talking with but he would say that he was reading his Bible, but would always become sad after the departure of his heavenly friends; and plead with his mother to release him from her heart to the hands of death, so as to be with his friends, but his mother was always encouraged by Late Prophet Adedokun that her child would live and not die.
In her goodwill message, Her Eminence Owoseni Mojisola Christiana, blessed God on behalf of her husband even as she referred to him as pillar that holds her life.
“My darling husband, who cares. When I cry silently, you wipe away my tears, you feel my pains. My mentor, my lecturer, thank you for being my spiritual father and I will always love you and care for you”, she concluded.
Several Nigerians, however, graced the event, especially members of the church, family members, top government functionaries, business tycoons and other dignitaries.
