Emulate Olagoke – Olubadan Tells Wealthy Ibadan Sons, Daughters

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Mahood Ishola Olalekan Balogun, has called on wealthy Ibadan sons and daughters to emulate the philanthropic and promotion attributes of traditional of Professor Sabit Ariyo Olagoke JP for Ibadan City to have accelerated development. Let

Senior Chief Odunade Adekola, who represented the paramount traditional ruler at the commissioning of multi-million naira gigantic mosque edifice and other projects built by Prof. Olagoke JP to unite Ejemu family from both Ibadan and Ejigbo where the family originated.
Chief Odunade, who also represented the Olubadan of Ibadanland during the 40th anniversary of Shafaudeen In Islam disclosed that he was impressed by the philanthropic gesture of Prof. Olagoke, who has been using his wealth to transform the lives of many as well as providing reliefs for the people of Ibadan and other areas without discrimination is commendable.
He also affirmed that the palace did not regret conferring Mogaji tittle of OgunElu Aare Alasa on him as he has been using the avenue to put some traditional records straight as regards his family bloodline to unite them from both home and in the diaspora as well as establishing the link of streaks along the line of culture, education, religion and politics.
Engr. Olagoke JP is an erudite scholar, who applies wisdom in putting things aright for the peaceful coexistence, development and humanity.
“I want to commend you for what you have been doing. I was also at the commissioning of projects during the 40th anniversary of Shafaudeen last year, and you are still doing more in terms of giving back to the society.
“Despite being a core religious leader, you still have the mind of promoting culture and tradition. Infact,  you are doing well and I want to encourage Ibadan sons and daughters to emulate your good spirit of accelerated development,” he said.
While presenting his paper titled; “Family Cohesion and Development Enhancement” at the event, Prof. Olagoke, JP, the setman of Shafaudeen in Islam, the Arole OgunElu Ejemu and the Mogaji OgunElu Aare Alasa Dynasty of Ibadan land disclosed that it is interesting to discover his lineage from Ife to Ejigbo and down to Ibadan during Lagelu’s expedition from Ife to Ibadan as he first branched in Ejigbo before finally settled in Ibadan.
Secondly, Onipode hailed from Ile Oye, Oke Daodu, Saki to go and found Otamako as the first Oba and father of OgunElu who later found the Ejemu Ejigbo and as  Ibadan warrior defender.
While calling on the sons and daughters of Onipode and siblings to come together to achieve due process in working the talk for progress,  Prof. Olagoke called for the unity among their families both in Nigeria and the Diaspora into family cohesion and development.
The Arole OgunElu also called for the restoration of values and virtues, ethics, courage and boldness, goal getting, affluence and influence together with justice and equity among our different faith and spiritual inclination.
“Let us be guided by reason and wisdom, driven by the power of discerning mind with our watch word on sustenance and sustainable development.
“Let us all come home without fear, but with our wealth and experience, love and hope to rebuild our ancestral homes through revolutionary feat of renaissance,” he said.
Representatives of the Ogiyan of Ejigbo, who is busy on his 50th coronation anniversary, other traditional rulers including His Royal Majesty, Oba Kameel Adeniyi Ajadi Ilufemiloye Ojelabi II – Olusongbe of songbe kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abeeb Agbaje Adetoyese Arowo Okunjoye – Olu of Ile Ogbo,  His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulazeez Olatunbosun Adebemiji Ogunkojo II.
Others were Akire of Ikiri-ile, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul Kodree Olatunde – Oluwo of Iwo-Oke, His Royal Majesty,  Oba Muhideen Hussain – Olosuntedo of Osuntedo  and His Royal Majesty, Oba Samson Moronfoye – Olotamokun of Otamokun Kingdom among others were all physically present for the Epoch making event which can never be forgotten in memory.
Other projects commissioned by the Olubadan apart from the mosque that was commissioned by the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheik Abdul-Ganiy Agbotomokekere included Onipode Unity Hall, OgunElu Villa, electrification project, water distribution system and Ile-Oye Museum.
Others are comfort house of six restrooms, shops for ventures, library and bookshop, while some members of OgunElu Ejemu Dynasty were also empowered to the tunes of multi million naira worth vocational equipments.
