The Lagos State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has felicitated with all Muslims in the state as they celebrate the 2024 Eid-El-Kabir.

The party used the opportunity to implore all the residents of Lagos State to remember the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim as he went to worship the Almighty Allah, where he was told not to sacrifice his son, but to kill a ram instead.
These were contained in a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of the PDP in the state, Hon. Hakeem Amode and dated June 15, 2024.
Amode stated that a period like this calls for reflection on what binds us together and the need to show love, compassion, and support for one another, adding that the Islamic religion preaches togetherness and the value of communal living.
“There is no doubt that we are all passing through a challenging period economically, but as a party, the PDP believes that the best is yet to come for the state.
“The Eid-El-Kabir period is an auspicious time for all of us to renew our hope as a people and to continue to trust the Almighty Allah for all that we require.
“The Lagos State PDP will continue to identify with the people of the state and we want to praise the endurance of our people, who have continued to expect a better tomorrow.
“Our party believes that there will be more opportunities for us to celebrate Eid-El-Kabir, and we encourage the residents of Lagos State to continue to support our party. Rest assured that we are with you in this trying period. Barka De Sallah to everyone,” the statement read.
