Edo 2020 crisis: Aftermath of Obaseki’s disqualification, Edo SSG, Osarodion Ogie, Four Commissioners set to dump Obaseki

Less than 24 hours after the disqualification of the embattled Godwin Obaseki from the forthcoming APC primaries, key government functionaries in Obaseki’s government have signified their intention to switch camps.

Top on the list is the secretary to the State Government, Barr Osarodion Ogie.

The SSG reportedly held a meeting in his residence on Saturday afternoon along the Golf Course Road, GRA Benin City with his core supporters.

According to information filtered out from the meeting, the SSG has made it clear that he would not move with Obaseki to any party.

The sources claim the SSG instructed them( supporters)to wait for his directives as he was now an independent party in the crisis.
He called on the supporters to keep faith in his leadership and trust his judgment.

Our source quoted Osarodion Ogie as stating that Obaseki came from Lagos to meet them in the party and they are not ready to go back to Lagos with him.

The SSG claimed that if Obaseki had listened to wise counsel then he would have adhered to the suggestions to make peace with Adams Oshiomhole.

The source further said the SSG has commissioned some key players to reach out to Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu on ways of throwing their support behind him as the APC leading candidate in Edo State.
The SSG, is rumoured to be dumping Obaseki’s government with at least four commissioners.
