I was so delighted to hear that the selection committee lauded your work “for situating African history at the cutting edge of diverse literatures in the history of sexuality, nonhumans, and violence, noting that it is exceptional to see a single person leading scholarship in all of these fields.”

I know how hard you work and what commitments you make on your projects. It is indeed a well-earned prize.

You are indeed an inspiration to us all, especially to the Nigerian diaspora.
