Breaking: Oyo Police Declare ‘Auxiliary’ Wanted Over Murder, Armed Robbery

Police in Oyo State has declared Mukaila Lamidi, alias Auxiliary, the sacked chairman of the state Park Management System (PMS), wanted.

The authorities announced this in a media briefing on Friday.

The move follows another raid of his hotel where more dangerous weapons were recovered on Thursday

Policemen had stormed Auxiliary’s Ibadan residence recovering weapons and ammunition

During the operation, the suspect reportedly escaped, while some of his lieutenants were arrested.

There was palpable tension in some parts of the state after the raid, especially in major car parks and garages in Ibadan, the state capital, amid reports of an unconfirmed number of casualties during the face-off between the police and PMS members.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, who addressed newsmen at the command’s headquarters, Eleyele in Ibadan, said, “The general public particularly good citizens of the state are hereby notified that LAMIDI MUKAILA AKA AUXILIARY ‘M’ whose Photograph appears above is wanted by the Nigeria Police Force, Oyo State command in connection with cases of; attempted murder, causing grievous harm, arms dealing, murder, armed robbery within the state and kidnapping at Oke-ogun and Ibarapa axis of the State.

Lamidi Mukaila is an indigene of the state. He was born on January 9, 1962 (61yrs) and dark in complexion.”
