APC Appeal Committee Throws Out Appeal By 7 Ekiti Guber Aspirants, Affirms Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s Victory

The All Progressives Congress (APC) appeal committee has affirmed the election of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as the validly elected gubernatorial candidate of the party in Ekiti State.

The appeal committee headed by Malam Tijjani Musa Tumsah with Hadiza Bala-Usman as secretary was of the opinion that the allegation by the seven aspirants concerned only two Local Government Areas “which are not sufficient to upturn the end result, as the results from the remaining 14 LGAs were not challenged” a source in the committee revealed to National Mail Online.

Speaking further, the source revealed that consequently the appeal committee dismissed the appeal.

Recall that Prince Dayo Adeyeye, Kayode Ojo, Otunba Demola Popoola, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, Bamidele Faparusi, Olufemi Bamishile and one other challenged the result of the recently organized primary election in Ekiti State.

With the affirmation of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s victory, the coast is now clear for a seamless electioneering campaign.
