Alleged N4.7bn Fraud: Ex Governor of Oyo State, Rasheed Ladoja Knows Fate February 8
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has slated the judgement in the charge preferred against ex-governor of Oyo State, Rasheed Ladoja and his erstwhile finance commissioner, Waheed Akanbi for Friday, February 8, 2019.
Justice Mohammed Idris sent the notice on the date of the judgment to the parties.
Justice Mohammed Idris reserved his judgment after counsel representing both parties had adopted their final addresses before the court.
It will be recalled that Ladoja was charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly converting N4.7 billion from the state’s treasury to his personal use.
He was re-arraigned along with Akanbi, his former Commissioner for Finance, on 11 count charges of money laundering and unlawful conversion of public funds.
They had pleaded not guilty to the charges before the matter was adjourned by the court.
