Akoko Progressives Youth Vanguard Calls For Action Against Attackers of Ondo Attorney General’s Office

In a decisive statement, the Akoko Progressives Youth Vanguard has condemned the recent invasion of the office of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ondo State, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, OON, SAN.
The group expressed its outrage over the actions of individuals posing as members of the so-called Akoko Youth Forum, labeling their behavior as a departure from the values upheld by true sons and daughters of Akoko.
“This uncharitable and unbecoming act is a clear indication of the lengths to which unscrupulous elements will go to discredit perceived political opponents under the guise of youth activism,” stated Tolulope Bello, President of the Akoko Progressives Youth Vanguard. “It is regrettable that individuals who claim to advocate for the interests of Akoko youths have resorted to lawlessness and intimidation, bringing disrepute to our community.”
The Vanguard highlighted that the invasion is part of a broader pattern of politically motivated aggression targeting notable politicians from Akoko extraction. “We have observed that similar attacks have been aimed at other prominent figures within our state, further exposing the insidious agenda of those who seek to destabilize our leaders and institutions for their selfish gains,” Bello noted.
The group expressed particular concern over the fact that the invaders have conducted two separate visits to Dr. Ajulo’s office, indicating a clear intent to disrupt the operations of the Ministry of Justice. “Their determination to interfere with the smooth functioning of this important office is alarming, and we refuse to stand idly by while one of the shining stars of Akoko land is unjustly targeted,” Bello emphasized.
In light of these developments, the Akoko Progressives Youth Vanguard is calling on security agencies in Ondo State to take immediate and decisive action against those perpetrating these attacks. “Any individual, group, or sponsor found to be orchestrating further assaults against Dr. Kayode Ajulo or the Ministry of Justice must be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law,” Bello urged. “We implore the relevant authorities to act swiftly and firmly to ensure that the rule of law prevails and that such acts of impunity do not go unchecked.”
The Vanguard reiterated its commitment to protecting the integrity of its leaders and ensuring that genuine youth activism is not hijacked by individuals with ulterior motives. “We will continue to stand in solidarity with Dr. Ajulo and all well-meaning Akoko sons and daughters who are striving for the progress and development of our dear land,” Bello affirmed.
This call to action from the Akoko Progressives Youth Vanguard underscores the urgent need for unity and proactive measures to safeguard the political landscape in Ondo State. It emphasizes the importance of distinguishing between true activism and the actions of those seeking to exploit youth movements for personal gain.
