Akeredolu: Makinde Declares Three Days Mourning, Flag To Fly At Half-Mast
Governor ‘Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has declared three days of state mourning for the deceased Chairman of the South-West Governors’ Forum and Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
Makinde, who is the Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, gave the directive on Thursday.
As contained in a release by his Chief Press Secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the Governor equally ordered that the flag be fly at half mast for three days to mourn the late governor.
Governor Makinde had, on Wednesday evening, alongside the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, Governor Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman of Kwara State, visited the Ibadan home of the late Akeredolu, who dead in the early hours of Wednesday after a protracted sickness.
