Adeleye of Lagos Television Wins 2nd Edition of Obasa Table Tennis Game

A staff of the Lagos State Television, Alhaji Shakiru Adeleye has again won the annual table tennis competition organised to mark the birthday anniversary of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.

The event, which was keenly contested, came to an end on Friday November 10, 2023 with Adeleye winning the gold.

Adeleye, who is the Vice Chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly Correspondents Association (LAHACA), also won the 3rd Head Of Service (HOS) Table Tennis Games.

The journalist, who hails from Adeleye Lemoruwa Family in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, has achieved fame as a table tennis star that has won many awards and many competitions over the years.

Speaking on the Obasa Table Tennis Game, Adeleye expressed happiness for winning the gold at the competition, while praying for many happy returns of the day for Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, who clocked 51 years of age on Saturday November 11, 2023.

“I am happy with the competition. I won it last year and I have won many other table tennis games.

“My prayer is that the Almighty Allah will grant Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa many glorious years and I look forward to another competition next year,” he said.
