A PRAYER FOR BOLA TINUBU -JESUTEGA ONOKPASA
Our Lord Jesus Christ said “And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free”, John 8:32.
Thank God Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has now made his enemies understand he knows exactly what they are up to.
The Asiwaju knows what he is doing – he is the master of this game.
Indeed, he knew exactly why he said what he said regarding sabotage with respect to fuel scarcity and currency recolouration, yesterday in Abeokuta.
Incidentally, many people were similarly uncomfortable when he spoke the truth at an earlier occasion in the same Abeokuta in what became the “emilokan” incident.
While, on that occasion, he was only addressing our party members strictly about our internal party affairs, his detractors still went to town with an entirely different and patently false narrative concerning that side remark.
Those of us in the party, of course, heard him loud and clear, and, understood exactly what he was saying to us, his fellow party men and women.
Funny enough, if Asiwaju had not lost his temper as he did at the time, his detractors within the party in conjunction with their external collaborators would have continued trying to take him for a ride and very probably succeeded in stealing the nomination from him!
It was in finally blurting out the truth, having bottled up his misgivings for a long time, that he made it clear to the entire party that there would be hell to pay if he was denied a victory he could win fair and square by interests set on upstaging him vide patently undemocratic subterfuges.
Sometimes in life you just have to complain very loudly and tell people the bitter and inconvenient truths they would rather not want to hear.
Bola Tinubu clearly has an instinct for such things.
I would even say that’s how he got to where he is today.
It is, in any case, just 29 days to election.
There’s simply no time to waste and no time to beat about the bush anymore.
Indeed, it is now or never.
Nobody is a fool – certainly not Bola Tinubu, of all people – and, whether they like it or not, the Asiwaju will still be their next President!
Tinubu is coming and there’s nothing his detractors can do about it!
Let’s not be afraid.
This man, our man, is not the Asiwaju for nothing.
It is not for nothing that our Northern Governors insisted on power shift.
It is not for nothing that Bola Tinubu is more popular in the North than even in the South.
It is not for nothing that Tinubu ended up winning the nomination of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
As the young man 9ce would put it: “no be mistake”!
Where I come from, we say “God never makes mistakes and always knows what he is doing”.
At the APC presidential rally in Bauchi, there was a moment when President Muhammadu Buhari addressed Bola Tinubu as “Mr President”.
Our President said to his brother: “Okay, Asiwaju, let’s go; let’s go, Mr. President”
It was not by mistake.
Bola Tinubu will still win regardless of whatever those without regard for our President and party decide to throw at him.
Our job is to stay focused and keep strong as God turns their counsel into confusion even as their best laid plans go up in smoke.
I personally believe those behind the lingering fuel scarcity are the same persons egging on our village headmaster of a Central Bank Governor to upend our national economy and make our President, our party and our candidate look bad before the electorate on the eve of elections through a policy whose imbecilic timeframe has been totally rejected by global financial institutions.
Trust me, there is a method to this madness.
I also believe that those responsible are moles within our party and some of its biggest beneficiaries since 2015.
It is time our party and President take drastic measures to arrest this well coordinated insanity before it is too late.
Those undermining our President and diabolically striving all they can to rubbish his towering legacy even amidst all the challenges he has faced these nearly eight years; those undermining their own party, having benefited most from its success to which Bola Tinubu was a major, crucial, critical and indispensable contributor; and, those, who within this party will connive with a fantastically corrupt Cameroonian indigene of Dubai to undercut the candidate of their own party, are only playing with fire and will most assuredly regret their brigandage and utter foolishness sooner than later.
I like to think the most effective prayers are usually also the shortest ones, like “God bless you” or “God be with you”.
God is with you, Asiwaju and will continue to be with you.
That is my prayer for Bola Tinubu.
I am a Nigerian and Bola Tinubu will be my next President.
They can go and write it down – Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the next President of Nigeria!
I really pity those machinating these truly revolting shenanigans and most disgusting subterfuges against this man that toiled so hard for this democracy.
Bola Tinubu cannot be my President without also being their President.
Come May 29, they will find themselves addressing him as “Mr. President”!
I wonder how utterly, pathetically stupid they will look and feel, then.
