Opadotun, Babalola,Others Pay Tribute To Elder Sakin Babalola, A Pillar Of Oyo NUJ Community

In a heartfelt expression of grief, Mogaji Olugbenga Opadotun, a former Chairman of the Oyo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has mourned the passing of Elder Sakin Babalola, a revered journalist, whose career left an indelible mark on the profession and the community.

Opadotun, who steered the Oyo NUJ from 2010 to 2016, eulogised Elder Babalola as a “complete gentleman and thorough-bred professional journalist,” noting that he was widely admired for his infectious smile, easygoing nature, and humility.

“Elder Babalola was a highly respected and well-loved senior colleague in the profession.

“His passing is a great loss, not just to the journalism community, but also to the people of Oyo State. His integrity and commitment to the ethics of journalism will remain a guiding light for future generations,” Opadotun said.
