Kosofe LG Plans 6000 Free School Uniform For Pupils, Inaugurates New Storey Building Classrooms

Kosofe Local Government in Lagos State on Thursday inaugurated one storey building of 10 classrooms, and planned 6000 free school uniforms for all pupils in the local government.

The News Agency of Nigeria NAN reports that the new building at Mosafejo Primary School Oworo comprise sick magnificent one-storey building housing 10 fully equipped classrooms with modern facilities.

The facilities include incubators of dreams creches, laboratories, and sick bay.

Mr Ekundayo Alebiosu, the Commissioner for Waterfront Lagos State, while given his remarks during the inauguration gave kudos to the Council Chairman Barr Moyosore Ogunlewe, for his huge educational projects to assist the coming generation.

Alebiosu said that his passion for education could not be over emphasised adding that the new facilities would go along way to enhance both learning and teaching process in the school.

“This facilities will encourage more parents to enroll their children into public schools with type of educational equipment in the classrooms.

“I really appreciate the kind efforts of the council chairman for this project and I am sure the community will make good use of it.

“The chairman has planted a tree that will bring fruits in the nearest future because going to public school really shaped me better than private, I am also a product of public school,” the commissioner said.

Ogunlewe in his remarks said that the project would bring countless opportunities to the children in the nearest future through their academic performances.

The chairman also assured the parents of free school uniforms that would be sowed for all the 6000 pupils in the local government.

According to him, we are opening doors to countless opportunities for our children and investing in the future of the council.

“This project is a testament to our unwavering commitment to education. It represents our belief that every child in Kosofe deserves access to quality education in a conducive learning environment.

“As we cut the ribbon on this building, we are making a bold statement about our priorities and our vision for the future of our community.

“Let me take a moment to put this achievement into context. When we assumed office three years ago, we made a promise to transform the educational landscape of Kosofe.

“We recognised that education is the most powerful tool we can give our children to shape their future and contribute meaningfully to society.

This building stands as a physical manifestation of that promise.But our efforts in the education sector extend far beyond this single, albeit significant, project,” he said.

Mrs Florence Olabode, the Head Teacher of Mosafejo Primary School in her remarks appreciate the kind generosity and assistant of the council chairman.

Olabode who was represented by Mrs Folakemi Adewunmi, a top ranked teacher in the school said that the building would stop the challenges of borrowing classrooms from another neighbouring schools.

According to her, shortage of classrooms has been the main challenge facing the school for past years.

“We really appreciate this magnificent classrooms and it will save us from borrowing classrooms from our neighbouring schools.

“In fact this development will bring increment to number of our enrollment next session, we really appreciate the council chairman,” she said. (NAN)
