OAU, Alumni Association, Canada Chapter Holds 12th Biennial International Re-Union

The Obafemi Awolowo University Alumni Association, Canada Chapter, is set to hold its 12th Biennial International Re-Union from August 30 to September 1, 2024 at Sandman Signature Hotel, Toronto, Canada.
According to the President of the Chapter, Dr Adeolu Ireyomi, the event is meant to give members an opportunity to meet with old school mates in a conducive atmosphere and relish old times.
These were contained in a video produced for the event.
Adeolu said that the event is another opportunity for the members to discuss “how we can contribute to the development of our alma mater and meet some of the needs of the institution.”
Also speaking about the event, a former Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Wande Abimbola, said that the news of the meeting is for the great alumni of the institution.
“There is going to be another re-union in Toronto, Canada. I will be there in person, please don’t be left out,” he said.
Another alumnus of the institution, Mr Emmanuel Oluwasegun Fagbenle, a former Chief Justice of the Republic of Gambia, thanked God Almighty for the opportunity of the re-union, and enjoined all the members to the there.
In his contribution, Dr Adeolu Ireyomi PhD, said that he was excited to invite all the alumni of OAU to the event, and this was corroborated by Mr Wole Olaoye, a PR expert and pioneer president of OAU Worldwide Alumni Association.
Mr Adeolu Esho, President of OAU Alumni Association, United States Chapter, also urged all members to be at the event, saying that it is another opportunity to meet with old friends.
Mr Solade Soyinka, while commenting, said that the event will offer all the alumni opportunity to “come together, relish old moments out of the old times and critically discuss how we can better our alma mater.”
