During the visit, Mr. Alake stopped by the stand mounted by the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development. He was given a detailed tour by Barrister Wale Ojo-Lanre, the Director General of the Bureau, who provided a comprehensive overview of the state’s tourism assets. Barrister Ojo-Lanre described Ekiti as a landlocked state with immense tourism potential, highlighting various attractions and cultural heritage sites that position the state as a promising destination for both domestic and international tourists.

Mr. Alake expressed his admiration for the Bureau’s efforts in promoting Ekiti’s tourism potential on a global scale. He praised the Bureau for its proactive initiatives and assured that his ministry would support both the state and the Bureau in their mission to advance tourism in Ekiti. To further this collaboration, Mr. Alake requested that Barrister Ojo-Lanre send him the tourism map of Ekiti State.

The Minister’s promise of support is expected to significantly bolster Ekiti State’s tourism sector. This commitment is anticipated to attract further investments and initiatives aimed at transforming Ekiti into a leading tourism destination in Nigeria, thereby enhancing local economies, creating jobs, and preserving the state’s cultural heritage.
