The National President of ATCIS, Hon Prince ‘Sina Bilesanmi made this commendation on behalf of executives, members of the association in a statement, which was made available to journalists.
Hon Sina Bilesanmi stated that the honour is well deserved, while congratulating the woman for the feat.
“The honour was bestowed on her and other 49 Nigerian ladies inspiring greatness to commemorate World International Women’s Day.
“It is our prayer that Gen TY & Senator Daisy Danjuma would continue to go higher and we pray for long life with peace of mind for her,” said the ATCIS National President.
Sen Daisy Danjuma, Executive Vice Chairman, South Atlantic Petroleum holds way in her career that spans over 40 years.
She started from a humble beginning as a state counsel to becoming a distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria between year 2003 and 2007, representing Edo South Senatorial District.
Senator Daisy Danjuma’s commitment to women’s and children’s rights came into fore through her leadership roles in the ECOWAS Parliament and Senate Committee, and reflects in her tireless advocacy for social justice.
Her legacy as a legal luminary and champion of human rights continues to inspire generations.
She has put smiles on the faces of many less privileged in the society, and many “Isale Eko” area boys attested to her philanthropic gesture with the way and manner she took them off the streets completely.
Others that were awarded alongside Senator Danjuma are; Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina J. Mohammed, Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Kwara State First Lady and Chairperson of Nigerian Governors’ Wives Forum, Olufolake AbdulRasaq amongst others.
These extraordinary individuals serve as beacons of empowerment, resilience, and achievement, embodying the spirit of progress and leadership.
ATCIS-Nigeria mission is to promote mutual co-existence, fair play, defend the rights of subscribers by endorsing and ensuring good products and network service delivery from service providers to their corporate and individual members, while providing a platform to advance the right of telephone, cable television and internet subscribers throughout Nigeria.
Our team’s of influence and connection as a leading body in consumer advocacy has afforded our members employment opportunities at various firms across the country. With nine hundred and eight-five (985) newspaper publications in local, international and online news media as of 12th March 2024 and presence in twenty (20) National Television and Radio stations for an Interview Program on every Wednesday of the week tagged “Advocacy Know Your Rights As Telecoms Subscribers from Network Operators and service providers” the body is well poised to executive its core purpose of consumer protection with significant progress and various reforms with a credit of three hundred and thirty-two (332) successful programs and achievements for the betterment of Telephone, Cable TV and Internet Subscribers across the Nigeria to her name.
ATCIS has spent 800 million naira plus till today 15th March 2024, basically on advocate for the right to people according to our financial report, through donation from members, loans and support.
ATCIS-Nigeria has received twenty-five (25) awards (and still counting) from various Government agencies, corporate bodies and International organizations including from world leading Telecommunications agencies and Telecoms conferences in Spain, France, Ghana, London and Lagos-Nigeria.
The Association of Telephone Cable TV And Internet Subscribers (ATCIS) with over 223 million Telecom Subscribers across 36 states within the six geo political zones in Nigeria has congratulated Senator Daisy Danjuma for being listed among top Nigeria’s 50 ladies, who inspire greatness.
