Edo PDP Guber Primary: Security Operatives Invade Shaibu’s Home … Injures 1, Others Scamper For Safety
The Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu’s official residence was on Thursday invaded by security operatives after conducting his own parallel governorship primary.
It was gathered that the invading operatives had ferociously stormed the residence, located at Commercial Avenue GRA Benin City, shooting sporadically at the supporters of Shaibu who were taking their lunch at the Deputy Governor’s house. Shot at a sienna vehicle conveying one Hon. Sunny Okumayin and got him injured.
The invasion reportedly heightened apprehensions and suspicion in the public space that it was primarily designed to incriminate and smear the image and “popularity” of the Deputy Governor of Edo State, who also won a parallel governorship primary election.
