Monarch’s Son Arrested By Police For Ordering Shooting That Killed US-Based Don In Osun

Osun State Police Command has said that it has arrested one Prince Eniola Oyeyode, who is the son of Ogiyan of Ejigbo, for instructing one of his civilian guard, identified as Hammed Abdul Jelili, to fire his double barrel gun into the air, but which resulted in the shooting of one Dr. Richard Adeori Okin to death.

It was learnt that the prince gave the instruction to his guard to know if the gun was in a good condition or not, but it hit the US-based victim, causing his death.

In a statement on Sunday, January 28, the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Yemisi Opalola, said that the Command was aware of the incident of shooting that occurred in Ejigbo Town on Saturday, January 27 at about 9:48 pm after the 50th coronation anniversary of the Ogiyan of Ejigbo, Oba Oyeyode Oyesosin.

The Commissioner of Police, Bzigu Dali Kwazhi, appealed to members of the public, especially the residents of Ejigbo, to remain calm, as discreet investigation had commenced immediately.
